Studio 20, a WDWCelebrations Commemorative Event
Celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Disney's Hollywood Studios™
May 1-2, 2009
Following in the footsteps of previous events such as Celebration 25, A Wild Decade, and World Wide Weekend, WDWCelebrations honored the 20th anniversary of Disney's Hollywood Studios™ with our most recent production, Studio 20. This two-day event offered attendees many opportunities to meet and spend time with like-minded fans while commemorating the past two decades of movies, music, and magic brought to you by the Walt Disney World Resort's third theme park. Over 150 Disney park fans joined us for this event. In the coming weeks, we will be posting a full recap including text, photos, and video. We've already posted a number of photos on our Facebook page.
This page will contain a day-by-day recap of the weekend under construction below.
Many photos are posted on our Facebook page.
A downloadable version of the full-color commemorative souvenir schedule that was distributed to event attendees is available for download as a PDF.
The complete Disney's Hollywood Studios™ History Walk script is available for download as a PDF.

On May 1, the park opened an hour early, at 8:00 am, with a special rope-drop ceremony starring Vice President Rilous Carter to kick off the anniversary celebration. Two Special Sessions with Imagineers were held in the Premiere Theater, at 9:00 am and 10:45 am. Studio 20 attendees received reserved seating in the front rows at the first session. Anniversary merchandise included an anniversary t-shirt, a number of pins, and special cels and sketches. Starring Rolls offered special anniversary cupcakes. Many of the restaurants featured menu items from opening day.
