"World Wide Weekend" was the first WDWCelebrations Signature Event, focusing not on a park anniversary or milestone but rather an event designed to bring fans together for a great weekend. The event also marked the closing of Pleasure Island, and the start of the 13th Annual Epcot International Food and Wine Festival.
